My Mom

Lisa Barth.

My mom has painted her whole life — not as a career, but as a calling. Growing up in North Dallas, her earliest memories are of gardens: gathering wildflowers with her mother and grandmother, sitting in the branches of Mimosa trees, foraging seeds and native Texas plants. Those bright greens and pinks, blues and yellows swirl through everything she creates.

She works in acrylic paint and ink on canvas and synthetic papers — layering lavishly, pouring and moving fluidly, then scraping back to reveal what's underneath. Her florals aren't copies of anything in nature. They're watery reflections of flowers not yet visible: a composite of many forms that fuse into something familiar yet entirely her own.

Her paintings are bold, colorful, free, and flowing — designed to bring a sense of calm, quiet energy and the kind of joy you feel when you're outside and everything is in bloom.

About the work

Where chaos
finds beauty.

Each painting begins in movement — acrylic poured, pushed, and layered until something emerges from beneath. Bold in colour, free in form, and quietly full of feeling. Every piece is an original, made by hand in a North Dallas studio.
